Duckworth Named Cyclone Club Student-Athlete of the Week

AMES, Iowa – Maya Duckworth has been named the Cyclone Club Student-Athlete of the Week after leading Iowa State volleyball to a 3-1 record last week.
Duckworth logged four double-digit kill performances in as many matches, including a career-high 18 in a win against Saint Louis, and hit .331 on the week.
The freshman posted 12 kills on a career-best .476 hitting against Missouri State and narrowly missed a double-double with 16 kills and nine digs against Kansas City en route to Billiken Classic tournament MVP honors.
Duckworth averaged 3.22 kills per set and added four aces, seven blocks and 14 digs to her week's stat line.
In a midweek matchup against UNI, Duckworth totaled 12 kills and three total blocks.
Iowa State volleyball opens Big 12 competition Saturday in Fort Worth against TCU. First serve is slated for 2 p.m. and can be streamed via Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
