The Lead:Â After a win over No. 12 Baylor at home, the Iowa State men's basketball team will travel to Norman to face the Oklahoma Sooners on Wednesday night in its first Big 12 road game of the season. Tipoff against the Sooners is set for 6:00 p.m and will be televised on ESPN2.
Storylines:
 The 214th meeting between the two is the sixth most games against a single opponent in Cyclone history.
The Sooners and Cyclones have played at least one game against each other in every year since 1922.
The Cyclones have tallied more wins against Oklahoma than any other team in the Big 12 Conference ... Of the 398 wins against current Big 12 conference teams, 92 of them have come against the Sooners.
The Cyclones split the season series last year against the Sooners ... Each team won at home.
Jaren Holmes and Osun Osunniyi were part of a St. Bonaventure team that beat Oklahoma 70-68 in the NIT Second Round last season.

Tamin Lipsey is averaging 6.3 points, 4.7 assists, 2.8 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.8 turnovers per game in the first 12 games. He is the only player in the country averaging those numbers and just the sixth in the last 10 years to do so.
Switching Sides:
Oklahoma holds a 60-20 record at Lloyd Noble Center since 2017. The Sooners have won 83.2% (593-120) of their games at LNC since the building opened in 1975. OU's winning percentage at Lloyd Noble Center is second in the Big 12 only to Kansas' 87.8% at Allen Fieldhouse (837-116).
Grant Sherfield has recorded double-digit points in all 13 contests for the Sooners this season and has a streak of 23 consecutive games. Over his last five games, he is averaging 21.6 points per game and is 35 of 65 (55.4%) from the field and 16 of 30 (53.3%) from deep.
The Sooners return 44.1% of their scoring, 52.9% rebounding and 38% assists from the 2021-22 team. Tanner Groves is Oklahoma's top returning scorer (11.6 PPG) and Jalen Hill is the top returning rebounder (5.9).
