Iowa State Women Run To 11th-Place Finish at Nuttycombe

MADISON, Wisconsin – The Iowa State women's cross country team posted an 11^th-place team finish at the Nuttycombe Invitational on Friday morning despite rainy conditions. Madelynn Hill led the Cyclones with a 36^th-place individual finish while three others finished in the top-90 to pack the standings.

Hill finished in 20:36.9 while fellow fifth-year runner Janette Schraft was 59^th, just 12 seconds behind Hill. Maelle Porcher ran third for Iowa State and 64^th overall in 20:51.2 and Dana Feyen finished 90^th in 20:57.8. Bella Heikes rounded out the Cyclones' top-five finishers in 136^th with a time of 21:26.1.

In the B race, Sheridan Wheeler led Iowa State with a top-20 finish in 21:59.9 while Kaylee Tobaben was 25^th in 22:11.8 as the Cyclones finished fifth in the team race.

Up Next

For the first time since 2018, Iowa State will host the Big 12 Championships. The men's 8K race will begin at 10 a.m. on October 28^th at the Iowa State Cross Country Course with the women's 6K following at 11 a.m.
