AMES, Iowa – For the fourth time in as many seasons, the Iowa State women's cross country team is a top-three Big 12 program. The Cyclone women had four individuals place in the Top 20 at the 2023 Big 12 Championships while three earned All-Big 12 honors. All of Iowa State's runners finished in the Top 45 individually with all 14 Conference teams competing.

Madelynn Hill led Iowa State as the top finisher for the fourth-straight meet she's competed in while posting a top-10 individual finish with a collegiate-best time of 20:04.6. This marks her third-straight season claiming All-Conference honors as well. Maelle Porcher and Janette Schraft finished 11th and 12th, respectively, while Dana Feyen rounded out the Cyclones' top-20 finishers. Porcher, a CBU transfer, competed in her first Big 12 Championship and posted a season-best time to claim All-Conference honors. Schraft ran a personal best by over 30 seconds and broke the 21-minute mark in a 6K race for the third time in her career to earn All-Big 12 status for the second time in her career.

As the lone freshman competing for ISU, Sheridan Wheeler posted the fifth and final official score while running a season-best time of 20:36.6 to finish 24th overall. Bella Heikes and Kiki Connell finished together, 32nd and 33rd, respectively. Both posting new collegiate best times while breaking 21-minutes for the first time in a 6K race. Brenna Cohoon followed in 40th place with a time of 21:08.3, shaving off over 35 seconds from her previous season best. Kaylee Tobaben and Ashlyn Keeney also finished with Cohoon in 41st and 42nd, respectively. Tobaben posted a new personal best while Keeney trimmed nearly one minute off her previous season-best 6K time.

The Cyclones travel to Stillwater on November 10th to compete at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships. The women's 6K race is set to begin at 10:30 a.m. CT at the Greiner Family OSU Cross Country Course.
