AMES, Iowa – Iowa State fans can once again tune into the Cyclone wrestling audio stream for the 2023-24 season. All 20 regular season and postseason contests will be carried live on Cyclones.com and nationwide on the Varsity App.
Joe Sinclair and Ryan Rohlk are back for their second season handling play-by-play duties while Nate Carr will once again join as analyst.
Sinclair, a Melrose, Iowa native, has served as the wrestling play-by-play announcer for KIIC radio on 96.7 FM for 11 years. The station does a statewide broadcast of the IHSAA wrestling championships at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines each year and has been a longtime Cyclone Network radio affiliate.
Rohlk has provided play-by-play and color commentary for KUOO/Q102/Y100 radio stations in the Iowa Great Lakes area for more than 20 years. He has provided coverage for high school football and wrestling broadcasts, including multiple IHSAA state wrestling tournaments. From 2012-2017, he worked with ESPN's coverage of the NCAA Wrestling Championships.
Carr, father of current ISU 165-pounder David Carr, is a coach at the Cyclone Regional Training Center and one of the most distinguished wrestlers in Iowa State history. He won three NCAA Championships for Iowa State before going on to be a World Cup and Pan-American champion as well as a bronze medalist in the 1988 Olympics.
Broadcasts will go live approximately 15 minutes before dual start time and will include interviews with wrestlers and coaches throughout the competition.
