Iowa State continues a road game stretch at St. Thomas on Wednesday night in St. Paul, Minnesota. The Cyclones and Tommies are meeting for the first time since St. Thomas reclassified to NCAA Division I (from DIII) prior to the 2021-22 season.

2 – Two Iowa State freshmen have field goal percentages in the top 50 among NCAA Division I players. Audi Crooks (4th) and Addy Brown (46th) also rank second and seventh among the nation's freshmen in the category.
13 – Iowa State welcomed the No. 13 signing class of 2023 with 2023-24 freshmen Addy Brown (No. 31 in the ESPNw/Hoop Gurlz Class of 2023 rankings), Jalynn Bristow (No. 47), Audi Crooks (No. 57), Arianna Jackson and Kelsey Joens. All five additions ranked in the Jr. All-Star Girls Basketball Top 100.
22 – Iowa State ended a 22-year drought without a Big 12 trophy in March when the Cyclones claimed the 2023 Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship trophy. It was the fourth Big 12 trophy of the Fennelly era, with ISU claiming a share of the regular season trophy in 2000 and tournament championships in 2000 and 2001.
899 – The Cyclones have made at least one 3-point field goal in an NCAA-record 899 consecutive games, a streak which encapsulates the entirety of the Bill Fennelly Era at Iowa State.

As has been the case for decades, Iowa State is one of the top 3-point shooting teams in the country. Hannah Belanger leads the ISU effort from deep, canning 11 triples through five games and connecting on 35.5 percent of her attempts from deep.

Iowa State has reached the 25-assist threshold in two games this season, last Monday's contest against Southern and Saturday's game against Syracuse. The two games mark the first time reaching the mark since last season's game against Columbia (Nov. 20, 2022). The last time Iowa State had a season of recording 25+ assists in multiple games was in 2021-22 when they posted marks of 27 vs. Prairie View A&M (Dec. 19, 2021), 26 vs. West Virginia (Jan. 1, 2022) and 25 vs. TCU (Feb. 12, 2022). Iowa State's 16 assists in the first half against Southern were the most in a half this season. The Cyclones rank eighth in NCAA DI and third in the Big 12 through five games with 20.6 assists per game.
