AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State football program held its third of 15 spring practices on Tuesday with members of the cornerback and wide receiver rooms talking to the media following the practice.
Cornerbacks coach Hank Poteat is in his first season with the program after spending the previous two at Wisconsin. He had a 10-year NFL career and brings a wealth of experience to the Cyclone coaching staff.
Poteat has a number of talented corners to work with including Myles Purchase and All-Big 12 pick T.J. Tampa.
Poteat and Tampa both met with media Tuesday, along with wide receiver Jaylin Noel and his position coach, Noah Pauley.
Like Poteat, Pauley is in his first season on head coach Matt Campbell's staff after a stint with FCS power North Dakota State. He helped the Bison win two national championships in his four seasons at the school.
Noel enters his junior season with 99 career receptions after finishing second on the team with 60 catches in 2022.
