Cy's House of Trivia Returns to Hilton Coliseum

AMES, Iowa - Cy's House of Trivia 2023 returned to Hilton Coliseum on Saturday night. The fan-friendly event was another sellout as 100 teams and 800 participants crowded onto the Hilton Coliseum floor to see who would come out on top in the trivia competition.
"Cy's House of Trivia is always one of the best nights of the year," senior associate athletics director, Ryan McGuire said. "It's fun to see so many Cyclone fans interacting with our coaches, staff, and letterwinners. It's just another illustration of what makes Cyclone Nation so special!"
Tables of eight players answered eight rounds of questions (10 questions in each round) to see who could get the most answers correct. Categories in this year's contest included: Famous Iowans, Clone Cones, Movies in Pictures, U.S. History, Beginnings of Business, Musical Math, I Love Hilton Magic (emoji state nicknames), and Cyclone Weather Alert.
ISU celebrities, including coaches, staff, and former Iowa State letterwinners, as well as other special guests rotated among the tables helping teams answer questions.Â
Andy Fales, WHO-TV personality, and Scott Siepker, actor/writer/producer and the Iowa Nice Guy, emceed the event.
The top four placing teams were awarded prizes; those teams were: 1. Cy is the Way, 2. High Five for Peeing, 3. Solo Cup Const. Co., and 4. Trimming the Fat.
