AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State volleyball team will begin a European tour to Greece, Serbia and Croatia this June.
The team will train and play local teams in each country along with sightseeing and experiencing the cultures of each location.
"Foreign tours are an incredible way for our student-athletes to learn about different people and cultures, grow closer as a team and take advantage of additional training time." Head Coach Christy Johnson-Lynch said. "Our teams have always cherished these trips, we grateful for the opportunity and appreciate the support from our administration in making it happen. The training time is extremely valuable in getting a jump start on the 2023 season and giving our incoming freshmen additional time to acclimate and learn our system. We are so excited to travel to these countries and learn more about ourselves, our team and this part of the world."
Iowa State is slated to play five matches:
June 1: Athens, Greece
June 6: Belgrade, Serbia
