AMES, Iowa – Iowa State freshman Omaha Biliew and his USA Basketball teammates begin play Saturday, June 24 at the FIBA U19 World Cup in Debrecen, Hungary.
Team USA has been placed in Group B with Lebanon, Madagascar and Slovenia. The first game is set for 5:30 a.m. (CT) on Saturday against Madagascar before facing Slovenia at 1 p.m. (CT) on Sunday. The final game of pool play will be Tuesday morning, as Team USA plays Lebanon at 8 a.m. (CT).
Following group play, all 16 teams will advance to the tournament. The first round is scheduled for Wednesday, with Thursday being an off day for all teams. The quarterfinals (Friday), semifinals (Saturday) and championship (Sunday) are set for the weekend of June 30.
