SAINT PAUL, Minn. – The Cyclone soccer program finished its preseason slate Thursday evening, defeating Minnesota 1-0. Iowa State went 2-0 in its pair of preseason matches, as the Cyclones downed UNI 2-1 in Cedar Falls on Monday.
Newcomer Alex Campana was the difference on the evening, as the senior transfer from Marquette scored the lone goal of the evening in the 49th minute off a left-footed attack to give the Cyclones the advantage. Campana was set up by fellow newcomer Abigail Miller as the transfer pair teamed up to give the Cyclones the edge.

18 different Cyclones saw the field on the night, and three played all 90 minutes. Goalkeeper Avery Gillahan tallied a clean sheet on the evening, saving seven shots.
