CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Isabella Dunlap and Anna Supapitch Kuearum took home the doubles championship on Sunday at the Wahoowa Invitational.
The day started with doubles action as the pair continued their doubles success with a win over Princeton's Maia Sung and Bella Chhiv, 6-3. The win improved Dunlap and Kuearum's record to 3-0 for the weekend and clinched the doubles championship for the Iowa State duo.
Juliette Nask and Caroline Nicholls battled with Princeton's Maddie Jessup and Eva Elbaz but ultimately fell, 7-5.
In singles action, Kuearum tolled to a dominant win over Princeton's Neha Valega, 6-4, 6-2, going 4-0 in singles competition this weekend. Dunlap defeated Princeton's Leena Bennetto, 7-5, 6-3, bringing her record to 3-1 in singles action during the tournament.
In other singles action, Juliette Nask fell to Princeton's Maia Sung in three sets, 5-7, 6-0, 10-7. Nicholls fought hard against Princeton's Bella Chhiv but fell, 6-4, 6-2.
The Cyclones will return to action next week at the 25k UTR PTT in Fayetteville, Ark.
