Van Gorp Named Cyclone Club Athlete of the Week

AMES, Iowa - Iowa State volleyball's Rachel Van Gorp has been named the Cyclone Club Athlete of the week after posting a double-double in both of ISU's matches this week.
Van Gorp impressed in her first two matches playing in the front row after changing positions from libero/defensive specialist. Against No. 24 BYU, the freshman totaled 11 kills and 14 digs with five service aces. In a sweep over Texas Tech, Van Gorp finished with 10 kills, 11 digs and an ace.
The Olathe, Kansas native averaged 10.5 kills, 12.5 digs and 3.0 aces per match during the week.
Iowa State is back in action Wednesday, Oct. 23 at Kansas on FS1. First serve is set for 6:30 p.m.
