Jackson Named Cyclone Club Athlete of the Week

AMES, Iowa - Iowa State running back Jaylon Jackson has been named the Cyclone Club Athlete of the Week after leading Iowa State to a 43-21 victory over Baylor Saturday night.
The Burleson, Texas native paced ISU's running game with 107 yards, his first-career 100-yard rushing game, and a pair of touchdowns. Jackson averaged 7.1 yards on his 15 carries and scampered for a run of 51 yards, his second game in a row with a run of 50-plus yards.
Jackson's first score - a 10-yard TD rush - put Iowa State back in front of Baylor, 26-21, with 2:22 remaining in the third quarter. His second touchdown delivered the final knockout blow to the Bears and extended the Cyclones' lead to 40-21 early in the fourth quarter.
No. 11 Iowa State is on the road this weekend at West Virginia. It is 7 p.m. (CT) kickoff on FOX. The Cyclones return to Jack Trice Stadium Oct. 19 against UCF and tickets are available, here.
