AMES, Iowa- Iowa State wide receiver Jaylin Noel has been named the Cyclone Club Athlete of the Week after helping ISU to a 42-41 victory in the Pop-Tarts Bowl over No. 15 Miami.
Noel was electric in his final game as a Cyclone, finishing with eight receptions for 117 yards and a touchdown. The senior was clutch late in the game once again as he streaked down the sideline on 3rd-and-1 for a 29-yard reception to keep ISU's game-winning drive alive.
The Kansas City, Mo. native ends his Cyclone career with a reception in 46-consecutive games, the second-longest streak in school history. He ranks second in program history in career receptions (245) and fourth in touchdown receptions (18). Noel's 1,194 yards receiving this season were the second-most in program history.
Noel, who finished the season with eight touchdowns, led the Cyclones to their first 11-win season in the 133-year history of Iowa State football.
