Four Cyclones Named NWCA Scholar All-Americans

AMES, Iowa – David Carr, Anthony Echemendia, Will Feldkamp and Evan Frost were named Division I Scholar All-Americans by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA).
Carr was recognized for the fourth time in his career while Feldkamp received the honor for the third time. Echemendia and Frost are both first-time recipients of the award.
To qualify for the award, an individual must meet one of the following requirements: Must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA and earned All American honors in the same academic year; Must have a 3.2 cumulative GPA and have been a NCAA National tournament qualifier in the same academic year; Must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA and Must have won 60% of their total matches in at least 60% of the team's schedule; or must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA and been a participant at the conference qualifying tournament.
A total of 338 scholar-athletes from 78 institutions across the nation were recognized for their outstanding achievements.
