Several Iowa State cross country runners return to the course on Saturday morning with the Greeno/Dirksen Invitational in Lincoln, Nebraska. The men will start with an 8K at 10 a.m. with the women's 5K to follow at 10:50 a.m.

The Field at The Greeno/Dirksen Invitational
The field in Lincoln will include several NCAA DI teams, including Air Force, Creighton, Drake, Northern Colorado, Omaha (women) and hosts Nebraska.
The Course - Mahoney Park Golf Course (7900 Adams St, Lincoln, NE 68507)
2024 will be the 6th year on this course. The Big 10 Cross Country Championship was held on the course in 2018. With excellent footing, long straightaways and rolling terrain the course provides an excellent venue for great cross country racing.
Spectator and Parking Information
Admission to the meet will be $5 for spectators. Spectator parking will be in Mahoney Park. Entrance to the park is @ 70th & Fremont Street.
Preseason Promise
Both Cyclone squads entered the 2024 season among the top-30 in the USTFCCCA preseason national poll. The Iowa State men were slated fifth following their top-5 finish at the NCAA Championships a season ago while the women were 30th in the national coaches poll. In the Week 1 ranking released September 17, both squads held their respective positions.

Jeremy Sudbury returns his top five individual finishers from the 2023 fifth-place NCAA squad in Sanele Masondo, Rodgers Rotich, Gable Sieperda, Said Mechaal and Timothy Sindt. First-year women's cross country associate head coach Cale Wallace will rely on the experience of NCAA top-100 finisher Maelle Porcher to lead the Cyclone women while also returning key pieces in seniors Kiki Connell and Bella Heikes as well as sophomore Sheridan Wheeler from the 20th-place 2023 NCAA Championships team.
