AMES, Iowa – Iowa State (15-7, 6-3 Big 12) topped UCF (7-11, 0-8 Big 12) dominantly with a 34-point win of 90-56 Saturday afternoon to end the week at 2-0. ISU had four double-figure scorers and totaled 12 3-pointers, the Cyclones' seventh game this season with 10-plus.
Arianna Jackson got the Cyclones off to a strong start shooting hot from deep, going on to total 13 points including three 3-pointers. Lily Hansford had three 3-pointers in the third quarter alone and totaled 12 points off a career-high-tying 4 triples. Hansford had her first double-figure point game as a Cyclone.
Audi Crooks scored in double figures for the 54th straight game, also going out to a double-double with a game-high 22 points and 11 rebounds. It was her 14th 20-plus point game this season. Addy Brown had 13 points as ISU had four with 10-plus points. Emily Ryan led the way with 11 assists, her fourth game this season with 10 or more assists.
How it Happened
ISU began up 13-0, and Jackson kept the Cyclones rolling early totaling eight points on her second from deep making it 18-5 midway through the first. The 3-pointers continued to fall as Ryan and Reagan Wilson each sent one in, and the Cyclones ended the frame ahead 26-12.
The lead remained at 15-plus as Hansford netted a 3 as the scoreboard read 36-20 with 5:44 to go. Crooks then entered double figures after a layup assisted by Brown with just over four minutes to play. In the final seconds of the second, Brown muscled in a layup giving sending ISU into halftime with the 20-point advantage of 47-27.
Jackson hit her third triple as the third quarter kicked off, while Hansford sent in her second 3 soon after. A Jackson jumper then built the lead to 23 points as UCF called a timeout with 6:39 on the clock. A minute of play later, Hansford delivered on her third from beyond the arc in the midst of an eventual run of 12. Hansford kept going, putting in her fourth 3-pointer on as many attempts and the Cyclones went on to take a 67-42 lead into the final frame.
Crooks racked up eight points at 75 percent shooting in the first five minutes of the fourth, and ISU went on to seal the victory by a final of 90-56.

Arianna Jackson went out to her second 10-plus point game of the season and fourth of her career with 13 points in a performance including three 3-pointers while Lily Hansford's four 3-point performance was the seventh 10-plus point game of her career. Audi Crooks had double-double No. 7 this season and 15 of her career with 22 points (8-of-12 shooting) and 11 rebounds. Crooks has now scored 20-plus in 10 of the last 12 games.
