MANHATTAN, Kan. – Iowa State (15-8, 6-4 Big 12) fell in overtime to No. 11 Kansas State (20-2, 8-1 Big 12) by a score of 87-79.
Iowa State kept with the No. 11-ranked team from start to finish, forcing overtime at 71s after a 7-0 run, threatening K-State's 13-0 home record this season. KSU led throughout the overtime period to end ISU's upset bid. The Cyclones hit 12 3-pointers, making 10-plus for the second-straight game and eighth time of the season.
Audi Crooks once again scored over 20 with a game-leading 28, totaling 20-plus for the 13th time in the last 15 contests. Crooks also led the game with 11 rebounds for the double-double. No. 55 scored in double figures for the 55th straight game.
Addy Brown also had a 20-point night going 8-of-11 from the field and sinking a career-high-tying four 3-pointers. Brown added eight assists, four rebounds and a steal.
How it Happened
A Brown 3 tied things up to start, and another tie at 5-5 followed. KSU scored the next five to lead at the media timeout, but back-to-back 3-pointers by Lily Hansford and Kelsey Joens the Cyclones flipped the lead at 11-10. With two minutes to go in the first, Brown got her second triple to make it 16-14, ISU, while Brown sent in another bucket to end the quarter with Iowa State ahead 18-16.
Joens got the second off to a fast start knocking down her second from beyond the arc 20 seconds into the frame. The Wildcats brought things back to a tie at 21s, and stretched an eventual run of 12 to go up 28-21 and cause an ISU timeout. Fighting back, Jackson and Ryan halted the run with two straight 3s to make it a one-point game. It continued to be a battle with K-State holding the narrow 36-32 lead at the half.
Iowa State opened the second half knotting the score back up and two additional ties at 38s and 40s came next, while KSU pressed on to make it 44-40 at the media timeout. After a tough bucket by Crooks at 4:09, Kansas State took a run of seven to lead by nine. Brown responded with her third deep shot, but two more K-State buckets put the home team up by 10. At the buzzer, Alisa Williams delivered a layup, putting the score at 55-47.
Layups by Crooks and Brown made it a four-point game, but ISU turnovers led to KSU again going up by eight (59-51) with 6:50 to play. Sydney Harris totaled Iowa State's ninth 3-pointer shortly after, but Kansas State hit one right after to keep the momentum with the home team. ISU made it a one-possession game (64-61) with 3:52 to play, but K-State again had the answer again running ahead by eight. ISU then hit a run and with 50 seconds on the clock, Reagan Wilson recorded her first points of the game with a crucial 3, making it a two-point game at 71-69. Now with 18 seconds to play, Brown tied it up with a layup capping a run of seven. K-State missed their go-ahead shot attempt, sending the game to overtime.
K-State delivered a 3 right away, and Crooks sent in two free throws after to stay within one. Kansas State took control from there on the way to the victory of 87-79.

Addy Brown scored 10-plus for the 10th straight game while having her 21st double-figure scoring game of the season with 20 points. It was her seventh 20-plus point game this season. Brown tied her career high with four 3-pointers. Audi Crooks shot at 10-of-16 from the field and made eight free throws for her 28 points, also totaling 11 rebounds for her eighth double-double of the season and 16th of her career.
