AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State tennis team heads east to Iowa City on Wednesday for the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series match against the Hawkeyes. The Cyclones look to bounce back after Sunday's close loss to Minnesota.

THE SERIES
This will be the 53rd meeting between the Cyclones and Hawkeyes with the Hawkeyes leading the all-time series 42-10. However, the Cyclones have won three out of the last four meetings and won 4-0 in the last matchup in Iowa City.
LAST TIME OUT
Iowa State fell to Minnesota, 4-3, on Sunday to drop to 2-1 on the season. The Cyclones split with the Gophers in singles with No. 64 Anna Supapitch Kuearum, Julia Camblor and Suzanie Pretorius all picking up wins, but ultimately fell by Minnesota securing the doubles point to open the day.
PLAYER TO WATCH
Senior Anna Supapitch Kuearum secured her 100th and 101st career victory on Sunday by winning in both singles and doubles. With the wins, Kuearum now has matched Liza Wischer (2007-11) for the 19th-most wins in program history. She is currently ranked No. 64 in the country in singles and will likely play a ranked singles opponent against the Hawkeyes in either No. 75 Tereza Dejnozkova or No. 89 Daianne Hayashida.
New rankings will be released Wednesday before the match is played.
