Cyclones Fall To No. 17 UCF

Ames, Iowa - No. 52 Iowa State fell to No. 17 UCF, 4-0 in Orlando on Friday evening. The Cyclones drop to 8-5 overall and 2-3 in conference play with the loss.Â
In doubles, UCF was victorious on courts one and two, 6-3 and 6-0, respectively. On court three, Mari Paz Alberto Vilar and Valeska San Martin Ramirez played well, but the match got cut short with the Cyclone pair leading 5-2.Â
In singles, UCF stretched its' lead to 3-0 with Olivia Lincer taking down No. 97 Anna Supapitch Kuearum, 6-2, 6-2 and Olivia Bergler defeating Suzanie Pretorius, 6-0, 6-3. The Knights would clinch the match by way of Hannah Rylatt downing Valeska San Martin Ramirez, 6-3, 6-3.Â
ISU is back in action Sunday at Houston.Â
