Cyclones Pick Up Four Wins On Day Two Of Husker Invitational

LINCOLN, Neb. – Iowa State had another strong showing on day two of the Husker Invitational, going unbeaten in doubles action and picking up two singles wins..
The Cyclones picked up where they left off on the doubles court, again posting a 2-0 record on the second day of the invitational.
Millie Day and Valentina Vargas defeated a duo from Denver, Caroline Daugherty and Sofia Mavor, 8-6. Valeska San Martin Ramirez and Gabriella Kellner also picked up a win, defeating Kansas' Hyejeong Ahn and Simryn Jacob 8-1.
Singles victories included San Martin Ramirez defeating Frankie Tye, of Denver, 1-6, 7-6 (7-1), 1-0 ret., and Vargas picking up a solid win over Nebraska's Emma Rizzetto, 6-7 (3-7), 6-1, 6-4.
