Iowa State Tennis Signs Two For 2025-26

AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State tennis program has announced the addition of two prep athletes that will join the team for the 2025-26 season.
Pennsylvania prep Gabriella Kellner (Washington Crossings, Pa. / Laurel Springs HS) and Iowan Kira Smith (Ankeny, Iowa / Ankeny HS) have announced they will play for the Cyclones.
"We are excited to add Gabriella and Kira to our program," head coach Jaron Maestas said. "Both players come from strong tennis backgrounds and will fit the culture we are establishing for Iowa State Tennis."
Kellner owns an ITF ranking of 273 and is a four-star recruit. She won ITF J60 doubles tournament in Cartagena, Colombia in September 2024.
Smith was a two-time state tournament participant for the Ankeny Hawks, earning first-team all-state honors in 2022 and finishing fourth at the state meet.
