AMES, Iowa – Iowa State will send five student-athletes to Big 12 Football Media Day at The Star in Frisco, Texas on July 8.
Joining head coach Matt Campbell will be redshirt junior quarterback Rocco Becht, senior defensive lineman Domonique Orange, redshirt senior offensive lineman Tyler Miller, senior defensive back Jeremiah Cooper and redshirt junior defensive back Jontez Williams.
Becht earned All-Big 12 honorable mention honors in 2024, passing for 3,505 yards and 25 touchdowns, both of which ranked among the top-20 nationally.
Cooper returns as a three-year starter at safety for the Cyclones, compiling seven career interceptions as he earned All-Big 12 first-team honors in 2023 and honorable mention accolades in 2024.
Miller has started 37 games, including 27 consecutive at right tackle for the Cyclones. He helped lead the Cyclone rushing attack which tallied 27 scores on the ground, tied for the fourth-most in school history.
Orange recorded 24 tackles, including 4.5 for a loss, in 2024 as he captured honorable mention honors from the league's coaches for the second-straight year. Orange was a force the final five games of the season, recording 14 tackles, including 3.5 for a loss, during that stretch.
Cornerback Jontez Williams tied for third among Big 12 players in 2024 with four interceptions, two of which came in the end zone. He earned All-Big 12 second-team accolades for the first time in his career. Williams had 46 tackles in addition to making an interception in four-straight games, which tied for the second-longest streak in school history.
