VB Earns AVCA Team Academic Award

AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State volleyball team earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award, announced by the AVCA.
Iowa State picked up the award for the sixth-straight year and the ninth time since the award's beginning in 1992-93. Every AVCA Team Academic Award earned by the Cyclones has come while Christy Johnson-Lynch has led the program.
Through the 2024-25 academic year, the Cyclones posted a cumulative GPA of 3.43. Iowa State posted a fall semester GPA of 3.37 and spring GPA of 3.48 as a team.
To earn the AVCA Team Academic Award, teams must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or greater.
