Iowa State's last standing former athlete bowed out on Sunday, as Enyi Uwazurike and the Broncos fell to the Patriots in Denver. The 2025-26 Super Bowl will feature the New England Patriots (17-3) and Seattle (16-3). The Super Bowl is set for Feb. 8, and the big game will kick off at 5:30 pm.
Though not an active member of the Seahawks' roster, former Iowa State defensive lineman J.R. Singleton has made the Super Bowl as a member of the Seattle practice squad. He will aim to be the first former Cyclone player to earn a ring since Landen Akers in 2022 when the Rams bested the Bengals.
Enyi Uwazurike – #96, Denver Broncos (15-4)
In what proved to be a low-scoring, wintry game, Uwazurike and the Broncos stood tall against the Patriots. The Bronco defense held New England to just ten points in the snow. Uwazurike had a career day in the process, as the fourth-year pro recorded a personal best seven tackles.
