IRVING, Texas - Iowa State senior Joshua Jefferson and junior Milan Momcilovic have been named to the Big 12 Men's Basketball Starting Five for the first week of Big 12 play.
Jefferson and Momcilovic contributed to the Cyclones' 80-59 win over West Virginia. Jefferson notched the first triple-double in a Big 12 game since the Cyclones' Tyrese Haliburton did so in 2020, finishing with 10 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Momcilovic scored 26 points on 8-of-10 3-point shooting, taking over the national lead in 3-point percentage. He also leads the country in 3-pointers per game and is second in total 3-pointers made.
No. 3 Iowa State returns to action Wednesday, traveling to Baylor for the first road Big 12 game of the season. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. on Peacock.
