Joseph, Clark Named Academic All-Americans

AMES, Iowa – Rachel Joseph and Makayla Clark earned CSC Academic All-America honors at the College Sports Communicators announced the women's teams Wednesday.

Joseph was placed on Second Team Academic All-America and is now a three-time Academic All-American. Clark earned third team distinction for her first-career Academic All-America honor.

Joseph was one of four second team repeat picks, and led other second teamers with the three career selections.

Joseph wrapped up her collegiate career as an eight-time All-American after taking sixth in the 400m and sprinted on the 4x400m team that took 13th at 2026 NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Clark concludes her career as a Cyclone with six All-America honors on the track. At 2026 outdoor nationals, Clark placed 10th in the 800m and joined Joseph sprinting in the 4x400m. Clark downed her eighth school record with her time in the 800m, the most school records held by any Cyclone.

Joseph and Clark earned the academic honor for their elite athletic accomplishments along with having a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. After advancing to the national ballot, Joseph and Clark earned votes to earn the Academic All-America honor.
