AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State men and women earned All-Academic team status by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) while 24 Cyclones received individual All-Academic honors, announced Monday.
A total of 13 women earned individual All-Academic honors. Rachel Joseph and Maelle Porcher are now four-time honorees, and Riley Beach and Makayla Clark earn their third. Karynne David picks up a second honor, and Kinsey Christianson, Ava Cinnamo, Maia Denge-Hagen, Emma Havighurst, Jenna James, Mercy Kibet, Candra King and Betty Rosvold earn their first.
Iowa State had 11 men placed on the All-Academic team. Quinton Orr, Garret Wagner and Jack Latham earn a third-career honor, while two-time honorees now include Sam Austin, Emanuel Galdino, Gus Langford and Daniel Norris. Kole Becker, Brandon Fischer, Meshack Kimutai and Lucas Morrison are first-time honorees.
Teams become eligible for the team award with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater. Student-athletes earn individual honors with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or greater while ranking in either the top-96 of a championship individual event or the top-48 of a championship relay event in indoor season, or must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
