Harold Nichols - Hall of Fame Class of 1997
Harold Nichols and Iowa State wrestling are synonymous. Dr. Nichols was the tower of strength in college wrestling during his tenure. Nichols racked up six NCAA titles, seven Big Eight championships and produced 38 NCAA individual champions and 91 Big Eight titlists. In addition to the half-dozen national titles, his Cyclones finished as NCAA runners-up 11 times while placing third on eight occasions. His career dual meet total at Iowa State is an untouchable 456-75-11.
