Parking Lot Arrival
Any vehicles entering the lots prior to the scheduled opening times may be subject to tow.
Please do not arrive expecting to stage at the entrance of the lots prior to the scheduled opening of the parking lots. Cars staged or parked near the entrance of each lot may be asked to move at any time in advance of the lots scheduled opening.
Staged parking is not allowed on open city streets and law enforcement can ask any car to move at any time prior to the lots being opened if it is blocking normal flow of traffic.
There may be times Iowa State opens the lots prior to the scheduled start time at the request of law enforcement or for the convenience of our fans. Please note this practice will vary from game to game and lining up in anticipation of parking lots opening earlier than the stated time may not be permitted.
On average, less than 20% of the stalls are filled within the first two hours of opening the lots and less than 10% of the lots are full within the first 30 minutes of opening.
Vehicles arriving to the lot are permitted to park in any vacant spot. Fans are asked not to save spots for vehicles arriving at a later time.
Parking Lot Emergency Lanes
There are red emergency lanes painted within all paved parking lots. The primary purpose of these lines is to identify paths required to remain open and available for law enforcement, fire support and emergency medical personnel to access all areas of those lots when necessary.
Additionally, keeping these lanes clear assists cars attempting to access the lots and available parking stalls as the lots fill with tailgating activity. Vehicles have the right of way in designated red travel lanes within the parking lots. Any tailgating equipment, tents, chairs or other items must be moved from travel lanes as vehicles pass through the lots. Parking lot staff can ask patrons to move or relocate any equipment they deem to be disruptive.
It is important to make every space available to use for parking as the number of access passes available per lot equals the numbers of stalls available. Your parking pass entitles you to use of one parking space. The use of a parking space for other reasons, such as portable grills, games, tents, chairs, etc. is not permitted in non-reserved areas.
Vehicles are not permitted to pull onto the curbs or parking islands adjacent to any paved parking stall. All vehicle tires must remain on paved surfaces.

Information about parking options in the neighborhoods surrounding the stadium can be found here: https://www.cityofames.org/My-Government/Departments/Police-Department/Game-Day-Parking
