APPEARANCE FEES

Appearances will include a visit by CY and/or one of our Spirit Squad teams. The teams in the Program could be cheer, dance, or a combination of the two squads. Please note, we can only accommodate requests within a 60 mile radius of the Iowa State University campus. Any request received will be subject to the updated standard pricing and timing. Please note, travel time and mileage will be added to the event and included on the invoice total cost.

APPEARANCE REQUEST GUIDELINES AND PROCESS

Please complete and submit the Spirit Squad Appearance Request Form a minimum of three (3) weeks prior to your event.

Depending on when you submit your request, you will be notified approximately 2-4 weeks prior to your event if your request has been approved or cannot be accommodated.

Any request received less than three (3) weeks prior to your event may not be granted.

The performers you are requesting are students at Iowa State University. They carry a full-time academic course load along with practices and athletic performances which will lead to some constraints on their availability. Although we will do our best to accommodate as many appearance requests as possible, not all requests can be fulfilled regardless of when you submit your request.

Due to time constraints and availability, not all requests can be fulfilled. You will be notified approximately 2-4 weeks prior to your event if your request has been approved or cannot be accommodated.

Appearance requests during home football games must be on the Iowa State University campus. Please note we will do our best to accommodate as many requests as possible on gameday but availability will be impacted by a variety of factors including gametime, appearance location relative to Jack Trice Stadium, and other appearance requests.

Events requested during university finals week (unless the requester is from the Athletics Department) will not be granted. Appearances requested during major holidays (i.e. Christmas, New Year’s Eve, 4th of July, Labor Day, etc.) or academic breaks per the university calendar may not be granted, depending on availability.

APPEARANCE PAYMENT POLICIES

Appearance fees assist the Iowa State Spirit Squad program; we thank you in advance for your support.

Please see above information regarding appearance fee structures. All payments must be received IN FULL a minimum of 10 days prior to appearances. Appearances are NOT considered confirmed until the payment is received.

There is no refund for cancelations with less than 48 hours notice.

If your event CAN be covered, you will receive an appearance confirmation email verifying appearance details along with a credit card invoice that can be paid online. Your appearance must be paid at least 10 days prior to the event date via the online system. Unpaid appearances will not be covered and will be canceled if payment is not receive by the deadline.

If your appearance CANNOT be covered, you will be notified via email. The $5 fee will not be refunded.

APPEARANCE GUIDELINES

Cy appearances must have a private changing room/area away from guests and a place where Cy can safely store his/her belongings. The changing space must not be a bathroom.

Please note that outdoor events may require that CY take a 10-minute break every 30 minutes.

If alcohol is being served while Cy or spirit squad members are present at your event, they must be stationed away from the area where it is being served. Please instruct your guests that no pictures/videos will be taken if they are holding alcohol in hand.

If guests are inappropriate in any way, the students are instructed to leave immediately, and no refund will be provided. This includes tailgate and game-day appearances.

A designated location for the students to park is required. If applicable, all parking fees must be covered for the appearance so there is no out of pocket cost to the student (prepaid or validation on site prior to their departure).

Please provide a thorough summary of what your appearance needs are and what you would like them to do at the event.

If you are requesting Spirit (Cheer &/or Dance), please provide details on what all you would like them to do while at your event. This includes chants, or dances.

All photos taken of Spirit Squad members at events are for private and personal use only. No photos may be taken for promotional purposes or with business signage for the purpose of promoting the event or a business in the future. All advertisements featuring the Spirit Teams or requests for promotional photos must be submitted to Kendra Simpson.

To avoid conflict with existing University contracts and commitments, events shall take all necessary steps to ensure that neither the Spirit Squad program nor the University appear to directly support, endorse, or sponsor the event nor any advertising adjacent to the event, without first obtaining the prior written consent of the Spirit Squad program through Kendra Simpson.

REQUEST AND CONFIRMATION PROCESS

Fill out the Appearance Request Form via the online link below. There is a $5 non-refundable fee that will be charged at the time of requesting the event.

Once complete, you will receive an Appearance Request received email confirmation that your information is being reviewed.

Confirmation of your appearance request will usually be determined 2-4 weeks prior to your event.

If your appearance CANNOT be covered, you will be notified via email. The $5 fee will not be refunded.

If you cancel your appearance request after submitting your information, you will not receive your initial $5 request fee. If you cancel less than 48 hours prior to your event, you will not receive a full refund.
