Boomer Roepke is in his third year with the Iowa State football program and his second as a graduate assistant on offense.
Iowa State recorded one of its best seasons in school history in 2018, as the Cyclones went 8-5, broke the school record for conference wins in a season (six), posted their best conference finish in 40 years (T3rd) and made the Valero Alamo Bowl.
The Cyclone offense tied the school record for most 40-point games vs. league opponents in a season during the 2018 campaign, scoring 48 vs. Oklahoma State, 40 vs. Texas Tech and 42 vs. Kansas State. ISU was also 10th nationally in red zone offense, scoring points on 91.1 percent of its possessions inside the 20-yard line.
Roepke was a student intern with the Cyclones in 2017.
Roepke arrived in Ames after spending season at Pasadena C.C. as wide receivers and special teams coach.
A native of Reno, Nev., Roepke worked four seasons (2012-15) at his alma mater USC as a recruiting intern and student coach.
Roepke was a member of the USC football team (punter, defensive back) from 2009-11, playing for Pete Carroll and Lane Kiffin. He was also a member of the Trojan swimming and diving team from 2007-09, helping the team win a Pac-12 championship.Â
He was awarded Most Inspirational Swimmer as a freshman and the Most Valuable Walk-On as a senior.Â
Roepke graduated from USC in 2012 and earned his master’s from the USC Marshall School of Business in 2016.
