Nick Meltz is in his first season as a recruiting operations assistant at Iowa State.
Meltz joins ISU after working his way up to the same position at Washington State.
He worked in various roles in the Washington State athletics department, including event management, before working as a student assistant with the football team starting in 2024.
In 2025, Meltz worked with the program during Jimmy Rogers’ first season as a full-time recruiting assistant. He hosted prospective student-athletes during official and unofficial visits while also evaluating film. He assisted with Cougar running backs during practice and film review sessions.
The Cougars went 7-6 and won the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl in 2025 despite a roster that featured 75 newcomers.
Meltz, a Foresthill, California, native, earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management with a minor in business administration from Washington State in 2025.
