Voet, a registered dietician and experienced instructor in performance nutrition, will spearhead Iowa State football’s sports nutrition initiatives.
Voet was a key part of Iowa State's enormous success the last three seasons. Iowa State finished the regular season in first place in the Big 12 standings, made the Big 12 Championship game and qualified for a New Year’s Six bowl for the first time in school history in 2020.
The Cyclones capped off the season with a 34-17 win over Oregon in the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl.Â
ISU’s eight conference wins and nine overall wins eclipsed or tied school records, and the Cyclones earned their highest ranking in school history during the season (#6) and postseason (#9).
In 2021, ISU earned its school-record fifth-straight bowl berth with an invitation to the Cheez-It Bowl.
The 2022 Iowa State defense was among the nation's best, becoming just the third team in Big 12Â history to lead the league in scoring defense (20.2), total defense (285.6), rushing defense (107.3) and passing defense (178.2).
Voet worked three seasons (2017-19) with the Nebraska football team as a dietetic intern, providing assistance at training table and nutritional counseling and education for the program.
A native of Omaha, Neb., Voet also assisted local hospitals and health departments with dietary advice during her time in Lincoln.
Voet is a 2017 graduate of Iowa State, completing a five-year BS/MS degree in diet and exercise.
Rachel and her husband, Josh, have a son. Oliver.Â
