Took over starting duties at QB for the final five games … completed 107-of-193 pass attempts for 1,247 yards and 10 TDs in 11 games played … second-leading rusher on the team with 330 yards … rushed for four TDs … completed his only pass attempt vs. TCU in a 74-yard TD toss, the second-longest play from scrimmage during the season … relieved starter Sam Richardson late in the first half vs. Baylor, helping the Cyclones outscore the Bears on the road, 27-10 the rest of the way … tied his career high with three TD passes on 12-of-17 attempts for 144 yards vs. BU … won his first career start vs. Texas, helping the Cyclones blank the Longhorns, 24-0 … threw for 188 yards (19-of-37) and a TD and rushed for 64 yards on 13 carries vs. UT … threw for a season-high 260 yards vs. Oklahoma … guided ISU in a near upset of nationally ranked Oklahoma State by throwing for 162 yards on 11-of-22 attempts … rushed for 130 yards and two TDs vs. the Cowboys, the sixth-best single-game rushing effort by a Cyclone QB in school history … threw for three TD passes and 210 yards at Kansas State … also rushed for a TD and 68 yards vs. the Wildcats … had his six-game streak of throwing a TD pass broken in the final game of the year vs. West Virginia.
