Both parents, Josh and Kris, are ISU alumni and were members of the track and field program as throwers … Josh ranks third in career long outdoor shot put (63-07.75) and eighth in indoor shot put (60-05.75) … Kris ranks in the outdoor top ten for shot put (9^th – 50-09.25), discuss (4^th – 174-10) and hammer throw (10^th – 191-11) … Kris also ranks tenth on the all-time indoor shot put list (10^th – 50-.04.50) … outside of T&F, Josh was also an offensive lineman on Iowa State’s 1995 football team.
