"We are very excited that we won both matches," said Head Coach Linda Crum. "I thought Amanda (Craig) played well and Katie (Kruenegel) came in and gave us some solid minutes on the left side. As freshmen, the two of them really contributed for us right away. And Dana Koziol played extremely well for us in the libero position. But all in all, we are proud of how we played tonight and obviously, beating UMKC in three was huge for us. I look forward to what we can do against Duquesne and Youngstown State in Saturday's matches."
The Cyclones will take on Duquesne on Saturday at 11:30 a.m., to start the second day of the Kangaroo Classic. ISU will then play Youngstown State in the evening match at 7 p.m.
