The Cyclones rebounded strongly in game two, hitting a solid .220, while holding the Red Raiders to .128. ISU pounded 14 kills on 41 attacks and had only five hitting errors. The Cyclones won game two, 30-27, and headed into intermission tied, 1-1.

"After game one, we really got some momentum going," Crum said. "Our hitting percentage went up every game and that was a big key, I thought. Our middles stepped up and we started passing extremely well. I'm very proud of the kids. They stepped up and did a great job. Our defense was especially good. Brittany (Dalager) and Dana (Koziol) really keyed that for us and Amanda (Craig) came in and gave us a much-needed spark. It was a great match for us."
The Cyclones return home to play host to Missouri on Saturday, Oct. 4, at Hilton Coliseum. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
