Iowa State's Beth Chapman Named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week

DALLAS, Texas - Iowa State senior goalkeeper Beth Chapman was named Big 12 Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.
Chapman broke the Iowa State career record with her 10th career shutout as the Cyclones topped Texas Tech 3-0 Friday. The Brentwood, Tenn., native collected six saves in a 1-1 double-overtime tie at Baylor Sunday. Chapman, who stopped two shots in the first overtime period at Baylor, ranks third in the Big 12 with 80 saves this season. She is Iowa State's all-time leader in minutes in goal (4,716) and ranks second in saves (230) and wins (18).
Iowa State (5-8-4, 2-5-2) hosts Missouri on Friday, Oct. 31, at 2 p.m.
