It was ISU's first win over
The Cyclones dominated the match, hitting .238 from the floor, compared to .136 for
Junior Brittany Dalager had nine kills and 17 total digs and freshman Katie Jessen and Pruess each added 11 kills and 10 kills to help the Cyclone cause on the evening.
The Cyclones started off slowly in game one, hitting only .049 from the floor, while OU hit .318 and had 18 kills to ISU's nine. The Sooners won game one, 30-22.
Game three was all ISU as the Cyclones hit a sizzling .419 from the floor along with 16 kills and only three hitting errors. The Sooners were held to .024 hitting from the floor, as ISU won game three, 30-19.
“After game one, we really got some momentum going,” Crum said. “We really did a great job serving. That was really the key in us turning things around after game one. It made a big difference in the match. Great serving really made it easier for us to block as well as we did. I'm proud of how the kids responded after game one. They had great chemistry and never let the ball hit the floor. They really did a nice job.”
The Cyclones return home to play host to No. 24 Texas A&M on Saturday, Oct. 11, at Hilton Coliseum. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
