The Jayhawks dominated the match offensively and defensively, hitting .286 from the floor and collecting 53 digs.
Freshman Nicole Lorenzen had five kills, one assist and five digs and freshman Katie Jessen added four kills and one dig and one block assist. Senior Dana Koziol led the way defensively with nine digs and sophomore Katie Kruenegel had three kills and three block assists to help the Cyclone cause on the night.
In game one,
The Cyclones played a solid game in game three, having 12 kills and hitting .162 from the floor, but the Jayhawks hit 19 kills and hit .175 from the floor. ISU had eight digs defensively, but
“I was proud of the kids, especially in game three,” head coach Linda Crum said. “I definitely thought we were more ready in that game then we were in games one and two. We just didn't start out real focused and that hurt us tonight. We had some really good blocks tonight. I was proud of Brittany (Dalager) and Renae (Pruess) tonight. They both set for the first time and they did a great job. I thought Nicole (Lorenzen) did a nice job tonight as well. Now we just need to focus on a few things before we go play
