Both teams will compete in the 2004 Big 12 Tournament starting Nov. 3 in San Antonio, Texas.
Kansas scored first in the 10th minute when Rachel Gillifan took the assist from Holly Gault and hit a low shot into the net. The Jayhawks added another goal in the 21st minute when Caroline Smith scored the first of her two goals off assists from Gabriela Quiggle and Gault.
