The Cyclones opened the season with a loss against Arizona and a win over Drake ... ISU followed with losses at North Carolina State (2-0), at South Carolina (1-0), at No. 19 Pepperdine (3-0) and UC Santa Barbara (2-1) ... the Cyclones were outscored 3-9 in the first six games, going 1-5 in that span ... ISU then scored consecutive wins against Wisconsin-Milwaukee (2-1) and Youngstown State (1-0) in the Nike Invitational ... Jess Villhauer was named the tournament MVP, Erin Weldon was the defensive MVP and Deb Benakis and Erin Witte were named to the all-tournament team ...after dropping matches against Colorado (1-0) and Nebraska (3-2), the Cyclones rattled off four-straight Big 12 wins, including a thrilling 2-1 double overtime win against Baylor ... Haig had a career-high 14 saves against Texas on Oct. 22 and Boyer stopped nine shots against UC Santa Barbara ... Haig is second in the Big 12 with 91 saves ... Kristina Baumann, Amy Flores and Kate Kirwan lead the Iowa State attack ... Baumann and Flores are the team's leading scorers, each tallying 12 points with four goals and four assists ...
