DALLAS, Texas - Iowa State junior midfielder Kristina Baumann was named Big 12 Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday. Baumann scored six points in a single game for the second time in her career in ISU's 6-1 victory over Iowa Sunday. The Naperville, Ill., native assisted on the Cyclones' first two goals of the day and scored a pair of goals later in the contest. The six-point effort ranks sixth in ISU soccer history. Baumann is the first Cyclone since 2001 to receive the conference's weekly offensive award.
Iowa State travels to San Antonio, Texas, for the Big 12 Tournament. The eighth-seeded Cyclones will face top-seeded Kansas on Wednesday, Nov. 3, at 11 a.m.
