AMES, Iowa - Iowa State senior defender Alli Coleman (Los Altos, Calif.) was voted to the 2004 CoSIDA District VII Women's Soccer Academic All-America second team. It is the first time she has earned this honor. Coleman is one of five Big 12 student-athletes on the list and one of six from a university in the state of Iowa.
Coleman, who earned academic first team all-Big 12 honors this season, owns a 4.0 grade-point average in hotel and restaurant management. Iowa State has placed two other players on the district academic All-America list, including seniors Kelly Burke (2003) and Laura Schweer (2003).
