Hornbacher Adds One to 2004 Soccer Recruiting Class

AMES, Iowa - Jessica Carithers of Dacula, Ga., will join the Iowa State soccer team in the fall of 2004, head coach Rebecca Hornbacher announced today. Carithers is one of nine newcomers in 2004 for ISU.
"Jessica is a very versatile player who has played multiple positions for her team this spring," Hornbacher said. "She has a tireless work ethic and good speed. She will be a welcome addition to our incoming class this fall."
Carithers, who competed for Ames High as a freshman and played in the Des Moines Area Soccer League, is a two-year captain and starter in the midfield for Dacula High. She plays for the Norcross Magic Blue club team. The squad was a finalist in the 2003 Metro North Tournament. Carithers was also a member of the 2003 U18 3v3 Got Milk Regional Tournament championship team. She also plays volleyball and is a member of the National Honor Society.
