15 Earn Academic All-Big 12

AMES, Iowa? Iowa State men's and women's cross country team student athletes earned 15 spots on the 2006 Cross Country Academic All-Big 12 Conference Team released by the league on Tuesday. Seven members of the men's squad were named to the first team while one earned second-team honors. Five members of the women's squad were named to the first-team and two to the second-team.

Ricky Reusser was among 13 Big 12 cross country athletes honored by the league for maintaining a 4.0 grade point average. Other Cyclones earning spots on the men's first team include Kyle Rasmussen, John Ricardi, Brandon Rooney, David Rotich, Dan Taylor and Kiel Uhl. Jory Zunich earned second-team honors.

Members of the women's team earning first-team spots include Dawn Caffrey, Lisa Koll, Mackenzie Madison, Erin Penticoff and Jessi Wild. Second-team honors were earned by Jenny Mockler and Dana Peters.
