Junior Jen Malcom recorded the tenth-best single-game hitting percentage in Cyclone history, hitting .636. Malcom recorded 14 kills with no errors on 22 attempts to go along with a solo block and five block assists. Sophomore setter Kaylee Manns recorded a double-double with 46 assists and 12 digs, and also tallied six kills with no errors. In the last five matches, Manns has 23 kills and no errors. Mary Bisenius and Victoria Henson rounded out the Cyclones in double-figures with 13 and 10 kills, respectively.

The Cyclones (11-5, 5-1 Big 12) led most of the first game after taking the lead 7-6, but Kansas (9-7, 2-4) proved resilient, tying the game three more times. ISU pulled away at the end of the game and eventually buried the Jayhawks with a Lauren Cummings kill, to take the game, 30-24. The Cyclones moved to 8-0 on the season after capturing the first game of a match.
