For the first time in two years the Cyclones will field a shuttle-hurdle relay team stacked with speedy talent. Big 12 indoor 60-meter hurdle champion Rebecca Williams will run the opening 100-meter leg for the squad followed by Sara Boisen and Megan Nielsen. Freshman standout Jenna Caffrey will run the anchor leg for the team. The
ISU distance runners Jenny Mockler, Katie Paulson and Kaylee Small will be competing in the 800-meter run. Mockler's indoor season was highlighted by first-place finishes in the 1,000-meter run, the mile run and the 800. Mockler also scored a third-place finish in the Big 12 Championships in the 1,000.
The squad will send five jumpers to represent
Sophomores Amy Waggoner and Heather Gilliland are scheduled to compete in throwing events. Gilliland will be making her first appearance as a Cyclone, competing in the javelin throw and Waggoner will be competing in the discus and shot put.
Senior Sara Boisen will make her return to the 400-meter hurdles on Saturday. Boisen had a break out year last season finishing third in the NCAA regional meet and third in the Big 12 outdoor championships.
Sprinters Leia Jackson and Lashawn Wright will compete in the 100-meter dash.
